I replaced the engine in my 2001 ford explorer. since i have codes p0102 code p0113 code p0201 code p1504 and po775. do you have any idea what i need to do

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228242

This shows list of codes. You have so many faults hard to know where to start. Was new engine an EXACT match for the old one? If not, did you change ECM? Appears MAF is not connected or bad, and also #1 injector circuit is bad. Others also.

My engine light is on so i took an OBD reading and it showed the error codes P0401, P0420 and P0133. What do I need to fix?

P0401 is EGR valve, low circulation detected.
P0420 Catalyst system.
P0133 is O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1.
All these codes are emissions related, so i would start with the EGR valve, it's probably clogged with carbon. The catalytic converter could be also, check that for excessive backpressure. The oxygen sensor can be tested, replace if needed. Good luck, i hope this helps.

I just replaced my accessory belts on my 98 subaru legacy outback the car drove fine no other problems at time of replacement that i could tell...about a week and a half later started car it sounded funny...

Sounds like changing the belt had nothing to do with the problem unless something was disconnected or damaged. Maybe you already know all the problem codes, but if not here is a list of them. Also, when you make a reapair on one of the codes you have to reset the codes. They stay in memory until you rested them. So if you reset the 336 and 341 codes my disappear. Reseting the codes doesn't have anything to do with not starting. Make sure nothing was accidentaly disconnected or damaged. The throttle sensor is on the throttle which is in the housing that the air cleaner connectes with. I'm unsure where the Knock sensor is located. The catalyst sensor is probably one of the oxygen sensors in the exhaust pipes, the farthest away from the engine. Your discription of how the care died sounds to me like the throttle sensor.
The problem you have withour having someone check all these item with a system scanner, is you don't know which is defective or if they all are. When you purchase any of these sensors, they are expensive and they are not returnable once you open the packaging. If it not a connection or broken item that is ovbious, I recommend you have a quilified shop check the problem. Guessing can cost a lot for no reason.

P0122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Low Input
P0325 Knock Sensor #1 - Circuit Malfunction (Bank #1 or Single Sensor)
P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P0341 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank #1)

Good luck

Already replaced IAC and checked for leaks. still getting code for P1506. also, now getting P1504. not sure what to check next.

I think your only choice here, is to let a
knowledgeable professional work on it

You have basically two codes the same
& shouldn't be installing any parts, unless
you know how to test them & the vehicles
wiring harness,etc.

You need wiring diagrams & trouble charts,
as will the pros.

If leaks are still an issue, you need to check
with an EVAP Smoke Machine.

Your problem is going past driveway
technology unfortunately.

I have a 98 ford windstar with check engine light on the codes are P1537, P1538, PO171 system to lean , and PO 174 what are they?

These are all related:
P1537 and P1538 are BOTH:
Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open
P0171 is Lean Bank #1
P0174 is Lean Bank #2.
On the front of the Intake Manifold there are Plastic Clips. The Clips are currently broken and need to be replaced. Because these are broke the Computer is registering too much Air or not enough Fuel = Lean.
You should be able to purchase these at any auto parts store (call ahead for availablility).
After you replace these, all the Codes should disappear.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have addtional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!

Ford windstar OBD II code P1537/38, P0171 and P0420

It could all be related.P1537/38 are the intake manifold runner controls are stuck open. They are controlled by vacuum solenoids. The P0171 is bank one of the engine is running lean, usually caused by a vacuum leak, P0420 is catalytic converter efficiency code. The computer monitors the switch rate of the front 02 sensors and compares it to the switch rate of the rear 02 sensors to tell if catalytic converter is doing its job. Now if the front 02 is not switching properly then this will cause this test to fail and set this code.
Look on bottom section of the intake manifold at the back of engine(where tranny bolts up) you should see the vacuum motors there on the intake, these are the control motors for the intake manifold runners.Make sure the vacuum lines are hooked up and lines are not leaking. Also you will see a lever from it to intake make sure they move and are not binding.

Service Engine soon light Code P0133

I just came from an Autozone, and then spoke with 2 Hyundai dealership service departments and they all three stated the P0113 code is the Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT, also referred to as the Mass Air Pressure - MAP - sensor) on the engine, not an O2 sensor found in the exhaust system.
