Ford ranger 2004 eng 4.oL need firing order on eng. and coil pack need help please ray

The firing order is 1-3-4-2. See the picture to determine the correct configuration based on your VIN code and engine layout for the coil pack.

Cylinders 1,2 and 3 are the cylinders on the passenger side and cylinders 4,5 and 6 are the cylinders on the driver's side. They are numbered front to rear. The coil pack will have the cylinder numbers marked on the top of it. The actual firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6
The top of your coil should look like this:
1 2 3
5 6 4

Your engine looks like this:
1 2 3
FRONT OF ENGINE
4 5 6

The firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Just to give you a heads up there is no coil pack. It a coil on plug design meaning each individual spark plug has a coil on it.

Both packs are 1-3-4-2, although the exhaust side does so at a fraction less than the intake side.

1 is right front, but coil pack should be marked with cylinder numbers as below. Firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. OK?
