Hi, I am trying to replace the windshield washer pump on my 2007 chevy equinox. I was told to remove the black inner fender, I did that but there still seems to be a metal frame around the wiper tank. Can I unscrew the bolts on top and pull it up from the top to replace the pump.

Yes, you can remove the washer fluid tank by removing the battery and battery tray. once they are out, you can access bolts that hold that tank in place and it can be removed from the top.

SOURCE: Timing Venture wipers

disconnect the wiper transmission from the motor, then run the motor and turn the motor off with the wiper switch, this will park the motor, re-attach the wiper trans linkage so the wipers are parked/down

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox and my windshield

u will need to pull the washer fluid tank out and check to see if the tank motor that pumps the fluid is getting 12 volts when the washer switch is pushed, if it is the pump will need to be replaced, if it isn't then the washer switch is defective, this switch is part of the turn signal switch.

SOURCE: Rear windshield wiper broken 2007 Chevy Tahoe.

Once you get the nut off of the shaft use a pair of plyers or channel locks and wiggle the base back and forth it iwll come off and then you can replace the wiper assembly without taking anything else off.

Where can I purchase fuse #45 for my chevrolet equinox lt 2007 in richmond, va

It sounds as if the windshield washer pump, located at the base of the windshield washer fluid reservoir, has lost it's seal. When this occurs, washer fluid seeps into the pump and shorts it out. I advise that you remove the pump to confirm this before replacing the fuse. A replacement wind washer pump and fuse can be found at your dealer, local auto parts store or the internet (Rockauto.com has always been a great source for quality parts at a very competitive price and I use them all the time). Hope this helps.

Is there a windshield washer relay fuse on a 2007 chevrolet equinox?

Check for voltage where the connector plugs into the pump. If you have power there when you press the "wash" button, the pump is probably bad. If you DO have power then check your wiring for breaks. Also, is there anything else that doesn't work in your car? (i.e. dome lights, glove box light...etc.) AND....recheck the fuse to make sure it is in snug and hasn't blown again.
Good Luck.

Frontt windshield wiper wash does not work, rear is ok. I do no hear the pump when I push the front wash. Is there a separate pump for front and back on 2002 chevy s10?How can I fix this?

They are not the easiest to get at but if you peel back the inner fender you should be able to see the pumps. Have somebody turn on the rear washer. Whatever pump does not run is the front washer. Remove the connector. The red wire should have power when the switch is pushed and the black should have gound all the time. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Leaking windshield washer fluid resivour

I had a similar problem. My first thought was that the reservoir was leaking but there were no holes in it. Then I noticed that the fluid hose had come off the hose junction fitting (above the passenger side fender -- hard to reach without taking off the panels) and fluid was siphoning out. Later on the hose came off again, and so when I had it in the shop for some other maintenance I asked the guys to look at it. They told me there was a pressure problem with the reservoir pump which was causing the hose to disconnect. They changed out the pump and it's been working fine now.
