make sure the cables are both good if they have a spot that feels flimsy the wires inside are likely corroded and the current is not running through it properly. a simple charging system check would be recommended.
Remove battery and clean the posts of corosion , also the contacts from green gue , sand the contacts , re install . Clean main contact to starter also .
Sounds like your alternater, get a multimeter set it to volts start the car then check the battery is getting 14 or over volts from the alternater to the battery , if your getting less than that it's not putting enough volts back to the battery to run the car with good luck colin
chevy and gmc trucks have an on going problem with this, turn the key on,and get a rubber mallot or a hammer and hit the bottom of the fuel tank a couple of times, this will unstick something in the fuel pump/sending unit.
2001 chevy silverado 2500hd battery light flashes intermittently. no problem with battery or alterntor. both tested ok. no problems with starting or running. voltage gauge reads just above 14. no problems with anything except battery light flashes. what could be the problem?
Charge the batteries. take a Reading to make sure that you are getting almost 14v to both batteries. If it is not charging then take the alternator back off and have them check it. you might have bought a bad one. There is a way to test the glow plus with out taking them out. ( Take a piece of wire long enough to reach all the glow plugs from the battery. unplug the glow plug wire.If you touch the end of the glow plug with the hot wire it should make a little spark. if no spark then the glow plug is bad. do this to each one, but one at a time)
i would say your F250 has a {short circuit}going by all the facts you tell me there has to be a loose or faulty electrical connection in the ignition circuit.get it rechecked also check the main earth strap it could be broke/corroded.also check the main voltage regulator as this can cause this problem.hope this helps.adrian
abs light on as well? even tho you changed the speed sensor did you clean the contacts really well? i had the same problem i replaced the sensor and nothing.... then found out the contacts were corroded took the sensor back off and cleaned the contacts. works like a charm! try that and let us know if that helps.
