Check Engine Light - Code numbers P1486 & P0455

I purchased 1999 Jeep wrangler with 4.0 engine. The next day the check engine light came on. Took it in to have it looked at they said it was emissions. Replaced gas cap and other emission items. Light still keeps coming on. Show codes of:
P1486 Manufacturer Specific Code
P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak).
Does anyone know what needs to be fixed by these codes and is this a specific problem with these models and years?

I have a 2001 Kia Rio..my check engine light came on so I took it to Auto Zone and they gave me a code that says P0455..something to do with emissions. I did everything they told me to do and then some...now every time I go to accelerate my car kind of "boggs" then my gas light starts to blink..but I have a full tank of gas. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it?

I can clear the CEL but it will come back on in a week or so. The code indicates a large leak in the fuel evaporative control system. All lines are tight, valves working.

1995 JEEP WRANGLER 2.5L HARD START COLD 1 START OF THE DAY

When you're trying to start it for the first time of the day, look at the dash to see if the check engine light is on when you first turn on the ignition. If the check engine light is not lit up, your Jeep ecu is in need of repair and the vehicle will not start until that check engine light finally comes on.

Check engine light on need to know where plug is to check what problem is

Extracting Fault Codes:
Turn the ignition switch ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON and observe the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. The CHECK ENGINE LIGHT should begin to flash a series of codes. The flashes will be long and short. The long flashes are the "tens" and the quicker flashes are the "ones" representing the numbers of each code. There will be a slightly longer pause separating each code from the next. A code 55 will be displayed at the end of the test.

A poor connection at the self docking connections of the cluster. Remove the trim across the top of the intrument panel. Remove the screws at the top of the cluster trim and remove the trim. Remove the cluster screws and cluster. Apply dielectric grease to the self docking connectors of the cluster and reinstall. This should take care of it.
