I have the exact same issue and after replacing fuel pump. Then calling locksmith to change the transponder which didnt work i had a diagnostic done on my car and it showed the G EM module as the problem.now im having trouble finding the location of that thing. But anyways that might be your issue the GEM or generic electronic module.

If you hear the relay click, but no pressure at all then it would be the fuel pump needing replacement

SOURCE: fuel pump location and replacement

You are looking for the constant control relay module- ( CCRM ) see below. The pump will be located inside the fuel tank. Most of the time , its the pump and not the relay but, it wouldn't hurt to check the relay out. Teh relay is housed in the CCRM. Its located behind the engine coolant reservoir.

SOURCE: 2000 ford windstar won't crank over, but pats keys good, and batt.

First thing I would check is to see if you have power at the trigger wire of the starter motor while someone is trying to start the vehicle for you. It will be a Yellow with a light blue trace. If you do then I would check to see if the main battery cable has power to it all the time when someone is trying to crank it. If it does then I would hold a test light on the case of the starter motor and have someone try to crank it. Make sure that the ground you use for this test is on the negative battery terminal not just anywhere on the car. If the test light lights while you are cranking it then you have a bad ground. Hook up a set of jumper cables from the battery negative terminal and clamp it directly on to your starter motor and see if it starts. If you check it and the test light doesn't light up and all the other checks are good then your starter motor has failed. If one of the other tests has failed then you have a starter relay problem or something else. let me know what you find out.

SOURCE: Intermittent fuel pump engagement when turning key - 2001 Taurus

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.

SOURCE: i just put an instrument cluster from a 2000

The instrument cluster has to be programed to your keys. You will need two keys and someone to program them to the cluster.

85 mustang fuel pump not primeing

See if the oil pressure switch has 3 prongs. If so and it's leaking oil, that may be the problem. I can't recall what year they stopped doing that switch but my '89 had it. Aside from that, check the fuel pump relay. It can click and still not supply power to the pump.

Wont start dash lights up perform service

what engine of the many, you cant fix one , unless you know what it is.! (cyl count and displacement works "cc's")
wont start. but cranks fast?????
dash lights up , key on, they all do all cars, its the lamp tests.
perform service, i just can noodle that. what does that mean?

1: check all fuses. in both boxes, EFI needs many fuses to work.
2: if cranks perfectly , does it?
3: we check for spark , in the blind hope compression is good all cyl.
4: spark is good, (and timing in the realm)
5: i then check spark tips, flooded, or dry ?
5a: dry, try test fuel. (spray)
5b; wet, i use supers secret (in opr guide) unflood mode.
"wide open throttle cranking"?
it starts and runs.
it start then stalls and floods again
or it was dry and runs for 3 seconds, test fuel tested.
so you lost injection
if lost, then we check fuel pressure next 30psi min,
cranking, if not 30, we check for 12v at pump, and so on........ask
ask for help if you make it this far.....
takes tools it does.

2004 325xi BMW wont start - replace spark plugs and fuel pump

If u hear the engine cranking in the AM, the batt & alt sound good. If you don't get any engine cranking in the am you may have an electrical short draining the battery. Before u convict the starter u must make sure the battery has full power in the AM. (12V) & 12 V to the starter

I cannot get power to fuel pump on my 94 mustang gt...car died sudden while driving and the fuel pump will not cut on..only testing votage at 1.90volts when keys is turned on..i tested fuel pump..its runs...

When you turn the key on it will only energize the fuel pump relay for two seconds , or until you crank the engine over . The PCM - engine computer controls the fuel pump relay . Watch this video

My 1998 ford mustang v6 3.8l .. is hard to start for first start of day i have to keep cycling the key and cranking on it , seems like fuel but is not i replaced fuel pump , fuel filter, fuel pressure...

So what you saying is it's hard to start cold right? Something in computer system not allowing excess fuel to injectors when cold. Probably sensor Get auto electrician to sort it out otherwise you end up replacing things that there is nothing wrong with They got the right gear

2000 Subaru Outback wont start.. no fuel.

Are your injectors firing into the engine? You can buy a test kit to double check that. Is there spark at the plugs?

I had the same problem sorta with my civic it turns out after doing timing belt water pump, and many gaskets i had a huge vaccum leak.

Also check your fuel lines to see if they are loosing pressure somewhere
