Mercedes benz c200 (w202)gearbox fault

Hi Ya i have a W reg (2000) merc benz c200 automatic just recently it has developed a fault it somtimes sticks in 3rd gear, when it does the is a small whine that comes from the passengers side, if i stop and turn the car off then turn it back on its ok again for a while (roughy 20mins) any help would be much apreciated

    i have the same problem,i heard that if u chenge the transmission fluid this helps,it usually gets changed after 100k

There is a special additive lubricant for gear transmission to solve this problem. Just add on to gear oil. I had the same problem. now ok.

    You can add gear additive transmission oil to solve this problem.
    I had the same problem with my C200/1997 Model. By the way
    ask your mechanic to detect this problem with computer system.

Give your partner something to read as I think that are getting board after 20min hence the whine from the passenger seat.....As for the gearbox sorry I have no idea.
