I had this issue with my 1999 C1500. I had to jump my truck a couple of times, because I left the inside light on and I found when I did this my daytime running lights worked briefly. I wondered why, but didn't give it much thought. I had to replace my battery a couple of months ago and my daytime running lights started working all the time. Even though my battery would start my vehicle, run the interior components, etc., it didn't have enough voltage for the daytime lights. Check your battery voltage under a load, see if it helps.
Might need to adjust the emergency brake, the daytime lights shut off when the e brake is on so that might be the problem

I have the same problem with the daytime running lights on my 1996 chevy K1500. I can hear the switch at least trying to "activate" the relay under the dash above the clutch, but don't know whether that relay is the problem or not. Any suggestions.

I have a 05 Yukon XL Denali and the running lights won't come on. They are supposed to turn on when the car is put in drive but they don't. I know the bulbs aren't blown because they come one when I unlock the car. Any suggestions?
