The indicator ligth is stil on after I change the oil
BMW insp. reset
-Ingnition OFF (pos 0)
-Press and Hold the trip odometer button while turning key to position 1 (accessory)
-Keep the button depressed (about 5 secs.) imto; upi see "Oil Service" or "Inspeciton" with "Reset" or "Re" in the display
-*Note: ON vehicles with "High" cluster, you will also see the amount of fuel (in litres) remaining until next service
-Press the button again and hold for approx. 5 secs. imto; :Reset" or "Re flashes
-While the display is flashing, briefly press the button again to reset
the Service Interval. After the display has shown the new interval you
should see "END SIA" for about 2 secs.
Note that if the "Reset" or "Re" does not flash, then you have not met the minimum consumption level and cannot reset.
2001 up to 2003 for shure don't know about any other models,
where i found this it said 2001 to current but not shure when it was

Hi, i have BMW x5 2001 model with 4.4i engine, it has 177000 milage, i want to change engine oil and this situation i dont know what oil choose, get 10/40 or an other oil, pls recomend true engine oil for my car milage...
