Car was running along at 60 mph on cruse control when it suddenly started slowing down and acting like it wasn't getting enough fuel or was not firing on all cylinders. This persisted even at 15 mph. I shut the engine off and waited 15 seconds and restarted, the engine ran perfectly and hasn't had any problem in the last 48 hours. Chrysler LHS 2000 with 3.5L V6. Frank

Charlie. You have replaced the ECM on your van?.
Kedwin,, Your problem is, the computer on that 3.3 L.
Need to be programed with the VIN nember of your car.
The Antitheft System will disable the injectors due a incorrect VIN, Bucause the body computer is not recieve the correct pasword between 5 seconds after start up.
YOU have 2 options. 1 get a ALOHA Smith. some of they have the computer required to program ECMs.

The other option is: Get a new ECM from the dealer, They will program if ask for that.

NOTE:::::: Other way is . Put the body control module with the computer from the same car.

OK... I hope this work for yours.
If NOT letme know I can look for more information.
Thank you.

SOURCE: Chrysler LHS Starter

The starter is located beneith the engine, near the transaxle and it is attatched to the engine by 3 bolts. You need to disconnect the battery, raise the car to get at it. The 3.3 and 3.5 engines take different starters. Rick

SOURCE: My car while running down the road will shut down

Sounds like an EGR valve sticking. Start the engine cold and let it warm up. As soon as it starts to hesitate/stumble, pull the vacuum hose off the EGR and if the engine maintains a steady idle, replace the EGR valve. The EGR is sticking intermittently but it won't be long before it sticks all the time and you won't be able to keep the car running when it gets warm. This is an easy diagnosis, removal and replacement for the do it yourself car owners. Please rate me on my answer.

When driving when I exceed 60 mph the engine starts running intermittent like it is running out of fuel. When I pump on gas pedal fast the car will go into passing gear but the car will slow down.

Your best bet is to take it to a ASE certified repair shop ! if that's the best description you can give . Take the Tech for a ride an let him see for him self .

Chrysler voyager gets no fuel to egnition

I've been told on my van that my fuel filter was to blame. I had a similar problem, sometimes the car would start and sometimes it wouldn't, and when I was driving I would be stepping on the gas and the car would slow down, then all of a sudden release and I would be going fine again, as if fuel wasn't getting to the engine.

I have a 2003 CR-V. Tonight I left the lights on and it drained the battery. The battery is only a couple months new, so with a quick jump, it started immediately and ran, seemingly with no problems.......

your battery may not be fully charged yet with the quick jump. let it run for a bit with no lights or accesories, no a\c or heat. everything is run off the computer and it need to be fully charged.

Go out in AM, car is cold, starts and runs fine. Drive short distance, stop and restart, runs fine, idles fine. Drive about 8 miles at 50-55 mph, pull up at a red light, when speed gets down to ~25-30...

The EGR valve is unserviceable which causes a bad or insufficient fuel control for em-missions......Hope this helps you out........EGR valves are not very expensive.

1988 cutlass ciera boggs down when i accelerate

Hello! You have symptoms that point to incorrect fuel pressure.
First have the fuel pressure tested as follows; #1...engine running at idle: 13- 20 psi. #2...key on engine off: 23-30 psi. If pressure is incorrect change the fuel pump.

Does the engine "surge" at idle? If so, check the "fuel injection pressure regulator idle air control valve". Apply a vacuum to it; If fuel flows it is not the problem.

The RPM of Nissan Altima stays high when drive over 65 MPH.

No....the rpms differ from engine to engine and from manufacturer to manufacturer. RPM's are always higher at higher speeds.

1992 Olds Cuttlass Cierra stalling

Check your lockout sensor on your transmission by unpluging it and try driveing it with the sensor unpluged. It should be located on the side of the transmission between the transmission and the fan, under the air filter box.
