I just purchased a new vehicle (avalanche 2010 LTZ). And I believe that the vehicle does not have Bluetooth. When I press on the voice recognition and I say Bluetooth a response (not recognized). But when I said radio system respond correctly and said radio and go to the selected channel. So I am wondering if I can purchase the original Bluetooth kit with the installation procedure. (Plug and play) no need to cut any wire. moreover in our country (SAUDI ARABIA)we do not have the onstar system so I believe our dealer is deactivating the system. Thank you

Yes, the BlueTooth is part of the OnStar system - if it gets disabled the BlueTooth goes with it. No, there is no other OEM module for you to install - if you want the BT you will have to enable the OnStar (the dealer should be able to do that) or you will have to install and aftermarket part like

Relatively expensive - $330 - but very easy to install: video on how to do it is on the site.

Yes, it's a software modification, no, you can't do it yourself:it must be enabled using a special tool that connects to the unit at a hardware level - only a dealer or a well equipped repair shop has it. If you buy the part i recommended the unlock will be a lot easier.

Our sportage has bluetooth but not voice recognition. Does the sound right to you?

Doesn't sound wrong but I suggest you check with your dealer after reading the vehicle handbook.

Audi voice recoGnition

There are certain times it won't let you use voice recognition, like when you're backing up or before the system has initialized (takes about 20 seconds after you start the car. Have you tried it outside of these instances?

I have a 07 Avalanche LTZ that will not unlock the back doors and tail gate when the unlock sensor on the driver or passenger door are pressed or if the unlock button is press on the keyless remote.

unfortunately it is probably the lock actuators on all three, this is a known problem on those, I have worked at a chevy dealer for along time and have seen this many times usually due to water intrusion in the connector at the lock actuator, have been lucky a few times and been able to clean the connectors..

2007 Avalanche, Fuse 41-Audio system is drawing 1.36 Amps when

Probably wired to the wrong power wire. You need to go to the key on side of the wire instead of before it.
