I have a 2003 Santa Fe 4 cyl 5 speed manual truck. I have experienced all of the symptoms outlined above. In Canada, the camshaft position sensor is $210. We started the process of removing the old one and found out there was debris and a piece of metal lodged in the magnet. After cleaning the sensor and area around it, putting the truck back together with the original parts.....my truck runs better than it ever has!!! You don't necessarily have to REPLACE the sensor....it's a huge undertaking by the way. Check the condition of the sensor first and try cleaning all the related surface areas. Worked for us!!!!
