I am having the exact same problem. Air comes from the defrost and floor but not from the four front vents. I have been told that it is a servo/actuator that is behind the dash. Yep, when you put the new battery in, it blew your actuators, PIA job, but can be done. You can TRY disconnecting battery again, but I'm betting your actuators just blew. Very common problem with our platform, poor design.
i dont think warrenty will cover this unless you have an extended warrinty however i think your problem is with your climate control switch on the dash
sounds like you have two problems, if there is no air from front then you need to ck power to your blower motor, if no power you need to ck your blower resistor and connector, second if no cool air from rear your compressor may not be engaging, make sure you ck your fuse for the front hvac system.
most likely there is a napkin in the intake vent under one of the front seats.check to see if there is something in it,use a wire hanger to pull anything out,this should work.
