No,
Recalls for

  1. STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2010 CHEVROLET COBALT AND MODEL YEAR 2007-2010 PONTIAC G5 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRIC POWER STEERING. THE DRIVER MAY EXPERIENCE A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST THAT COULD OCCUR AT ANY TIME WHILE DRIVING.
  2. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:COLUMN SHIFT. GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING 276,729 MY 2009 BUICK ENCLAVE, CHEVROLET COBALT, HHR, MALIBU, TRAVERSE, GMC ACADIA, PONTIAC G5, G6 AND SATURN AURA AND OUTLOOK PASSENGER VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLES SAFETY STANDARD 102, "TRANSMISSION SHIFT POSITION SEQUENCE, STARTER INTERLOCK, AND TRANSMISSION BRAKING EFFECT", AND FMVSS 114, "THEFT PROTECTION AND ROLLAWAY PREVENTION". ON SOME OF THESE VEHICLES, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT CLIP MAY NOT BE FULLY ENGAGED. IF THE CLIP IS NOT FULLY ENGAGED, THE SHIFT LEVER AND THE ACTUAL POSITION OF THE TRANSMISSION GEAR MAY NOT MATCH. WITH THIS CONDITION, THE DRIVE COULD MOVE THE SHIFTER TO "PARK" AND REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY, BUT THE TRANSMISSION GEAR MAY NOT BE IN "PARK".

Is there a recall for chevy Monte Carlo for 2006 years?

There are 2. One is 2014 for the ignition switch. The other is 2009 for steering knuckles made by Dorman. If you go to Chevrolet.com and click on owners tab, then chat you may be able to find out if they are complete on your auto if you tell them the vin.

What would case my guages on my 2009 chevy cobalt dash board to stop working and at the same time the power steering go out?? It comes back almost instantly 2-5 seconds but i was just wondering

Did you get your recalled ignition switch changed out at your Chevy dealer? Please cal them and check to see if it was done last year. If not, get it done (it's free) and have them give you the print-out of any fault codes they find. Get back with us.

Cant figure out what my father unplugged in my 09 cobolt!

If nothing happens when you turn the switch it may be the battery. Also look in the fuse box under the hood and see if one of the engine fuses has been removed. (Sounds like you & your dad are not getting along)

I need to change the ignition switch on my 98 odyssey

The ignition switch is a recall. I had mine first replaced in 2002 when the recall first came out. Then when it went out again in April, 2009, the Honda dealer replaced it again free of charge.
