SOURCE: how do you check the idler pully to stop squealing?
NO ADJUSTMENT IS PROVIDED FOR, THE BLET NOISE MAY BE DUE TO A DEFECTIVE IDLER

There will be a tensionor pully, that is a pulley that is connected to an arm that is spring loaded in order to produce tension on your belt. By releasing tension on this pully, you can remove the belt. The pulley will have a way to do this using hand tools. Most have either a bolt head you can grip with a pry bar and the appropriate size socket, some have a square hole where the socket - drive pry bar will fit directly, but the age old plain pry bar can be used by itself to release the tension. This should be done with two people if possible, one to release the tension while the other removes the belt...

Check to see if the fuel pressure regulator is bleeding down.
SOURCE: Windstar 2001 had it since new. over 120,000 miles
The problem with your van is the CAM Sensor, I believe the noise you are hearing is kind of a chirping sound. I just had mine fixed (12/19/09) it was about $150 for parts and labor from a local Mech. not a dealer.
