I also thought I had a problem with the oil pressure switch (sending unit) because after an oil change from a new place I tried the check gage light came on and the oil gauge kept going up and down. The real problems was they put 5 w 30 w instead of 10w 30w. I went back and ask them to put the 10w 30 w and flush the other oil out and I drove my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 243,150 miles for 30 miles to cycle the oil and the problem went away. This company could have ruin my engine by putting light weight oil in my Jeep. God is good!
It should be right next to the oil filter which is passenger side of the engine block. I think on Grand Cherokees they are rubber coated. Careful though from the heat and everything they become brittle and break easily. I hope this helps.
