On my 05 Wrangler Unlt'd Ruby - The vacuum hose on the drivers side of engine had come off, which disengaged my Cruise and the actuator which determines whether my heater points to the vent, Defrost or feet. Put it back on and secure with a cable tie.
If it is like mine, you will then have idling problems, especially when coming to a stop. You will need to clean the throttle body because the engine has picked up **** through the open port while it was off. Directions for that exist on this site elsewhere.
All of these are easy - i hadn't worked on a car in >25 years and it took me 30 min.

Cruise was working, then just stopped while on a highway trip. Dash light comes on, but set/coast/resume don't function. Is this tied to any vacuum issues?
