SOURCE: 2002 Honda Odyssey: sliding door jolts/reopens when closing
Please check the aft track roller assembly. It is easiest to inspect from the rear of the van looking forward when the door is open. You'll see the rear hinge assembly clearly. The track rollers cannot be seen but you can pull outboard on the rear edge of the door--the door should not move outboard more than 1/8 of an inch. If it moves out more than this or feels sloppy, suspect damaged/missing track rollers. This will cause the hinge to chatter in the track and "jolt". It will also cause the door to misalign during the close phase preventing the close motor from properly engaging.
Replacing this part is no easy task but doable if you are good with cars. Check back here for more details if you want to try it, otherwise get a competent mechanic or the Honda dealership to do it.
SOURCE: 04 Beetle Driver's side window sensor issue (maybe?)
Not likely. You have a defective window regulator. To fix remove the door panel. Peel down the warer barier. Remove the window motor and check it. If the plastic plugs are defective replace. To remove the window regulator you will need a 1/4 inch punch to punch out the rivits and 1/4 inch drill to drill out the aluminum holding in the regulator. Replace these with 1/4 inch bolts and lock nuts.
SOURCE: can not completely close the hood
Make sure there are no obstuctions under the hood.
Check your release cable, make sure it's working
properly to the latch. Check to make sure the latch is
open. Push the release all the way in.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
