How do you remove the ingnition key switch lock on 1989 cutlass oldsmobile with tilt steering wheel ?
Take of the two covers on the steering wheel, take off the wire to the horn, next use a steering wheel puller to take off the steering wheel, next use a lock plate puller(make sure you get this tool $10 at napa) there are three screws may have to adjust blinker position to get to one of them, slowly pull out white plastic blinker kit thingy, next there are three torx silver screw next to one of them is a black smaller torx screw that one will let you take out the cylinder for the ignition repeat process backwards to reassemble.
-just did it myself.
Remove column trim, insert ket turn to on position, and push the pin in at the underside of the steering column pull straight out please rate -jeff
