SOURCE: I have a 2005 ford explorer, I got a code p2112
teck689- Your 2112 is throttle acutor stuck closed. This would be a problem with your throttle body. Your 2104 is a forced idle code. I would suspect that you were at one time unable to control the throttle after seeing that light. Your 2104 is set when the pcm sees a signal that does not match expected signal. dont chase the 2104 its set due to your 2112. Bottom line removed the throttle body which will be located at the end of the engine side of the intake tract. It should be held on with (4) 8mm bolts after you remove the hose clamp style clamp that surrounds the intake tract. WARNING: Do not I repeat DO NOT drop anything past that throttle body when you remove it. Go to a parts store pick up some "brake clean" clean and give both sides of the inside of that throttle body a real good and reinstall it. Make sure you remove any black build up which is carbon. That usually fixes it or at least buys you some time. If the light returns you will have to replace the throttle body. Expect to spend in the high 200's to low 300's for a new throttle body. good luck
SOURCE: Engine goes to idle while driving
All three of the codes have to do with your Throttle Actuator Control System:
P2104- Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Idle
P2111- PCM indicates the throttle plate is at a greater angle then commanded
P2112- Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed
Possible Causes:
Possible causes:
Binding in the Throttle Body, Stuck open,
TAC Motor circuit are cross wired
TAC Motor harness circuits are shorted together
Damaged PCM unit.
SOURCE: 2005 Ford 500 engine speed problem
all codes point towards a throttle body malfunction. try cleaning the throttle body first. check for loose wires. if problem persists. replace throttle body.
SOURCE: P2104
The p2104 code was set because the PCM had to set the idle speed, the p2112 was set to indicate that your throttle body was stuck closed. You can try to remove the throttle body and clean it, check to ensure that it opens smoothly, check the TPS connector to ensure that it is plugged in correctly, reset the light and if the problem returns, you will probably have to install a new throttle body assembly. Hope this helps, let me know
SOURCE: the following diagnostic codes P2104, P2111, and
all the codes point to throttle body. clean throttle body, especially around throttle plate. check for loose wires, if problems persist. replace throttle body. p2104 is tac system forced idle, p2111 is tac system stuck open, p2112 is tac system stuck closed. clean throttle body good, and see if this fixes it. then go from there. have a good day !!
