I have a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. The dash lights are on for Traction control, ABS and Brake. The fuses are good for the ABS system in both fuse boxes. What do I check next?

Open the fuse panel by pulling down on the fuse panel cover in the driver's side footwell.
Locate the fuse for the ABS sensor using the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover.
Pull the fuse for the ABS using the fuse pullers in the fuse box.
Check the fuse for the ABS. If the fuse is broken or damaged in some way, then replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage. The ABS light could come on if there is a short in the system and it blows the fuse.
Turn the ignition to the "On" position but do not crank the engine. If the ABS light comes on, crank the engine. If it stays on for more than five seconds, there is a failure in the ABS system, and it needs to be serviced by a professional mechanic. GM Tech2 GM Diagnostic Scanner with 32MB Card and TIS2000
I have a 1993 grand marquis n all my lights come except the taillights no blown bulbs check all d fuses no bad ones can I just get a good answer to my problem
Check under the dash at your Brake pedal interlock switch. It is timed with the gearshift Interlock and Ignition switch. This switch usually gets hit by feet and dislodged or broken. When you shift out of Park, the switch is toggling to a broken piece and shorting out.
The brake interlock switch is at the top half of the pedal lever. The other part of the Interlock uses a rod or cable in the steering column Ignition switch and mates with the shifting mechanism.
Hello, If you have a Traction control button on the dash, turn it off and the motor should smooth out. You should look at the ABS sensors and internal parts on the rear brake system.
There are several reasons for your problem. It can be any or all of these. The ABS system counts the turns on each wheel. If there is debris like a deteriorated Emergency brake lining, or dust in the rear wheels, the sensor gets confused and loses count.
When the counts do not match on all 4 wheels, the ABS engages to bring them to be equal. One way is by extra braking on the fastest spinning wheel. This can activate the Traction control feature.
The Traction control feature can CHOKE the air off the engine by activating a flap in the air intake nozzle around the Air cleaner. If you think this is happening you can very temporarily disconnect the Air Intake at the Air Horn allowing your engine to breathe dirty air. Keep all the electric connectors plugged in. The motor should now run smooth.
Most likely you have a shorted wire triggering the blown fuse or a bad ABS sensor. You can run the van with the ABS light on as long as the wheels turn freely.
remove all bulbs from your tail ligths, check them, and each socket, if everithing ok, follow wire harness from inside trunk to trunk lid, rigth where it bents open up and check for broken wires, repair has necessary. good luck.
The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light, also traction control would be disabled as well.
