LOOK UNDERNEATH BEHIND THE PASSENGER WHEEL! IF IT IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, IT COULD BE A BROKEN CV JOINT! THEY CAN BE REPLACED VERY EASY FOR A REASONABLE PRICE! I BOUGHT A 1989 FORD PROBE LIKE THAT! THEY THOUGHT THE TRANSMISSION WAS OUT, AND SOLD THE CAR FOR $150. I TRAILERED THE CAR HOME, WENT TO THE PARTS STORE, AND BOUGHT A NEW CV JOINT FOR $75, AND DROVE THE CAR FOR ANOTHER 250,000 MILES!

Not really big problem on the axle they cost about $60 on the axle with exchanged labor will cost you about $80 to $100 its been worn out for about 80 to 150 miles when rubber cover loose or rip-off.

What can cause an axle to break on the passenger side on a 2009 Honda accord?

They can break, but they give plenty of warning signs before they do. Clicking or knocking when making a slow turn, Vibrations going down the road. The rubber boots on each end will sling grease, before they break. If by chance the shaft broke, it was a defective part.

1990 honda accord lx oil leakage problem

No, you don't have to pull the engine. Many of those problems are fixed by removing the wheel, and the plastic inner fender. It's probably a crank seal, or a power steering hose. PS- You mean the passenger side... don't you?

Cant get my axel off

If you are referring to the axle nut on the end of the axle shaft, you may need an impact wrench, or make sure to bend the nut back (straighten out the bent section), put the car on the ground with the wheel on, and use a breaker bar, with a 3 foot piece of pipe attached (cheater bar) to loosen it. REMEMBER - some of these are reverse thread, if so you will have to go clockwise to loosen and CCW to tighten, thus, you MAY be tightening it - check the thread on the end of the shaft to tell you what way to turn the nut - if it still won't come off then you may have to use some heat, and/or chemical penetrants, but make sure you are turning it the correct way first...

Honda Accord 2003 - Engine and steering vibration

My 2003 honda accord was doing this too. The problem is the inner CV axle bearings. The fix is to replace both CV axles. When you choose your CV axle choose a new one not a reman, there are known problems with used CV axles. It's not a hard job. It took me 1hr to do both sides on a lift.
