Quite a few of these vans had issues with the instrument panel cluster causing this problem. There is an updated program to recalibrate the cluster to not set the low oil pressure light on. Go to a GM dealer and have them reprogram the IPC.
hint!!2000 olds and chevrolet ventura vans have the same fuel pumps. if you've replaced your fuel pump and keep having the same problem, it may be in your KEY the computer accepts your key to run the car, if your key has been bent or damaged, that may be your problem. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com!!
2000 Olds Silhouette: plenty of gas in the tank but the gage will read full, 3/4 full, 1/2 full, and everywhere in between. Van runs fine. No other issues except the gage goes crazy and can't depend on what it says....
