Right Indicator Light (Amber Color) not working

Dear Expert:

My Ford Windstar 2000's Right Indicator Light (Amber Color) and the flasher not working. First I changed the bulb then I changed the fuse (15 amp) as specified in the book but it is still not working. All other lights and flasher for other three corners are working fine.

What should I check next or what could be the problem that I can solve myself. Please help. Thank you.

Mrit

Check the inside of the light socket for corrosion and make sure the light bulb is making a good contact in the socket. Use a test light and make sure there is power going to the socket as well.

Turn indicator light flashes quickly. bulbs fine

The quick flash is a fault detection for a burnt out bulb. If bulb is good, check bulb socket. Inspect for corrosion. If needed, replace bulb socket. Check bulb socket connector. Check if fuse. Check emergency flashers ( most cars have a separate circuit).

2000 ford windstar, directionals both not working, hazards work f

turn signal flasher module or turn signal switch. I usuall try to wiggle teh column switch or move it slowly up and down, back and forth to help determine if it has a bad contact. if i cant get a failure (or turn signal) that way I begin the testing at the base of the column. the flasher module is a common failure on those and isnt unreasonably priced. if i had no diagnostic procedure i would try that first. oh yea, try turning the hazards on and off rapidly several times. the signal goes through the four way switch.

Right Indicator light (Amber) is not working

Try installing a different bulb in that socket. Did you check voltage at the inner prongs where the bulb goes in or was it checked at the wiring. Check the condition of the socket that the bulb goes into. You may have to cut off the socket and replace it with a good one.
