The heater blower quit blowing all of a sudden in my 2006 Chevy Duramax. It was working just fine then I turned on the wipers and the blower quit working. I checked all of the fuses that had to do with the blower and HVAC system but they were all good. Any sugestions.

i have same prob. friend of mine says blower is going bad. he told me to tap on it and see if it starts working,and that may buy little time befor it stops completely.don't know.car been down 4 bout 2 weeds so haven't gotten to try but ordered another blower just in case. pd. 25.00 from riteway. they ship all parts.800-365-8036. new & used parts. they do warranty.good service.never had a prob. with them.good luck
REPLACE OR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE + RELAY.IF BOTH GOOD PROBLEM IS THE BLOWER MOTOR IS BAD OR THE HEATER AND AC CONTROL SWITCH BAD ALSO BLOWER RESISTOR.
If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox and Pontiac Torrent,

You have a couple of actuators that have gone out. The driver temp control. And the air inlet actuator.
And I don't fallow your statment of "my a/c blower went completely out. I tested the blower and it works fine".
If the blower went out, then what do you mean it works fine? Are you talking about air delivery or it just quits blowing all together?
It sounds like your blower motor may be bad. I don't know if you know how to check power at your blower motor plug, but you can use a volt/ohm meter or a test light. If you have power (12VDC) , your motor is most likely bad. There is also a resistor block module which has 2 resistors on it. It controls the motor speed basically by restricting the power by directing it thru one of the resistors. The higher the resistance, the slower the motor turns, thus the 3 speeds for the motor. The resistor module is mounted on the blower housing and has 2 screws holding it in with a small plug connected. It is just about straight ahead of the passengers left knee.
You can get used motors from a junk yard pretty cheap.
