2003 Honda Pilot - driver's door lock stuck

The driver's door lock on my 2003 Honda Pilot does not work. It will not work with the remote, the key in the door, the button from the inside, or maually pulling up the lock on the door itself. All the other doors locks work fine. What can I do to try and fix this problem myself or is it best left up to an expert to diagnose it and replace a part?
THANKS!

You have to take it to the dealer and it will cost $280. I had my driver door die first...now the passenger behind the driver :-(

2003 Honda pilot door locks and remote not working

There is a small electric motor inside the actuator assembly that has probably "burned out". Same problem with my 03 pilot. The remote would not lock the other doors or arm the security system unless you physically locked the driver's side door. Eventually my passenger side burned out as well. Fixed it myself pretty easily. Cheap fix too. works like new now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120935451126?var=420082237231&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I have two 2003 honda pilot remotes for the doors and they are not working on all doors they will lock all doors but the left front door and will not ove any. should i reprogram the remotes

This is not a problem with the remotes. It probably doesn't work with the door lock switch either. I had the same problem and it is the power lock actuator. The problem is that the replacement part it is not just an actuator - It is the whole door latch. I replaced mine and you will need a hand impact driver to remove the 3 screws that hold the latch on the edge of the door. The Haynes manual will give you the steps with some pictures.

Power locks don't work with remote or control from

The door lock/unlock input from the driver's key switch goes to the Door Multiplex control unit (main switch), the Door multiplex control unit then sends a signal on the BUS (CAN) circuit to the passenger's multiplex control unit; the passenger's multiplex control unit then controls all the door locks. The passenger's door lock key switch inputs to the passenger's multiplex control unit, if the locks work from the passenger's side key switch but not the driver's side key switch, the most likely cause is the driver's multiplex control unit (main switch) not sending the signal to the passenger's side multiplex control unit. This could also be the drivers side door lock actuator. Hope this helps!
