SOURCE: My blower motor fan speed switch will work only on High.

I had a similar problem with my 03 Taurus. Does your floorboard on the passenger side get wet when it rains really hard? If so, Ford is aware of a defect above the fan motor which is behind the glovebox.
I contacted Ford directly and they had my local ford dealer fix it free and they gave me money towards a new blower motor which shorted out from the leak, it's possible it just your switch if there is no leak but you might need both the switch and blower motor replaced like I did. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 2002 Ford Taurus blower fan only works on high

fords are notorius for faulty fan switches, you will need to get a new one, but it will probably fail in a year or two.

SOURCE: 2002 F-150 blower motor stopped working.

There are 4 things to check out to pin point the problem: the switch it's self, the blower relay switch, resistor block, and the blower motor it's self. good luck

SOURCE: installing brake pads in my 2002 ford taurus sel

Try the autozone.com website and register the car. It doesn't cost anything and you will have access to an online repair manual for the car. The steps doing a brake job should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.

2002 ford taurus fan doesn't work

Does it work on any speed..If not check the relay..If it works on high only,,its the fan resister..If all fails you have to unhook the the fan wire and check for voltage with a test light or multimeter..If you have voltage then the motor is bad

2002 taurus sel - sometimes the heater doesn't blow

If the blower motor not blowing, and it is on high, bump the lower motor to see if it will try and start working again,if it does, replace the blower motor. If it does not, then replace the blower relay. If this only happens on the lower speeds, replace the blower motor resister, witch is mounted very near the blower motor in the blower box, with two screws, and about 7 wires going to it.

2000 Ford Taurus - A/C fan only works on high; cool air is "available" but not blown as fan won't run, except in "high" position. Any suggestions?

The low speeds(all of them) are distributed threw the fan speed switch to the blower motor resister. The resister is the problem. It is located very near the blower motor. It has two screws mounting it to the blower box.It has a plug in with about 5 to 7 wires.Unplug this plug to the resister.Remove the screws.Pull the resister toward you,it mounts and rest inside of the blower case, this is how it is cooled. Now when you replace the resister, replace the blower motor.Even if the bower motor is running fine, it is pulling to many amps for the resister. It will happen again soon,if you don`t replace the blower motor. If I can help you any more, please let me know.

Works great on high only doesnt work on any other speed

If it is manual climate control.
You have a bad blower motor resistor. To replace it remove the lower dash panel cover below the glove box and it will mount in the heater housing with 2 screws. It will have a 4 wire connector with the wire colors being OG/BK,LG/WH, YE/RD, BK
If it is electronic climate control then you would have to replace the blower speed controller which is also located in the same place.

Blower only runs on high

Ignition switch is the culprit. On Fords for high speed blower motor is direct whereas the lower speeds go through the ignition switch. If there is an issue with the switch the blower will only work at high speed. A schematic will confirm that.
