There is a diagram of the belt routing moulded into the belt cover. The pulley on the right is an idler pulley and the tensioner is on the left, this is the one used to set the tightness of the belt (Also to release it for removal). Where the belt makes its run across the top, you should be able to turn the belt through 90 deg. with just a bit of force, then the tension is about correct.

I got into my 2006 trailblazer today and when I accellorate it make a loud squealing noise

Hi,

It sounds like the black serpentine belt. It's about $20-$40 and easy to replace. Or it could be the pulley. First check that belt.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/laura_08254539050d64db

Is the serpentine belt diagram the same for a 2006 Chevy impala SS 5.3 as it is for a 3.9?

No, not even close. I have included belt routing diagrams for both. The first one should be the SS 5.3L which has a lot more pulleys.

Hope this helps. Good luck !duckfreak871.png duckfreak871_0.png

How do i change camshaft position sensor on 2006 trailblazer

d03e295.gif Remove the serpentine belt, remove the power steering pump to get access. You might have to remove the upper radiator hose. NOTE: When changing cam or crank sensors your vehicle will need to go through a re-learn process. This can only be done at the dealer!!

Trailblazer serpentine belt diagram

Hi, first, keep this diagram around as you will need it to route the serpentine belt when you reinstall it. There may also be a diagram under the hood by the radiator.

How to change serpentine belt in cobalt ss supercharged

You just remove any obstruction, such as plastic covers. Locate the belt, and remove/loosen applicable bolts. Depress or loosen tensioner as required. Replace belt, tighten all bolts. (got any manual?)

2006 Trailblazer SS, the Ac belt needs replacing, but the engine belt is in the way, how do I remove the engine belt?

Remove the air intake tube, the one that goes from the air filter to the engine. On the top passenger side of the engine there is a belt tensioner. Using a 15mm box head wrench push it tword the drivers side of the engine, this will release the tension of the belt so you can slide it off, then you can get to the ac belt. It's going to be a tight fit but you can do it!

I can't locate the water pump on my 2006 trailblazer

I can only assume you are looking for it as you want to replace it. It's on the front of the engine block behind the serpentine belt.
I'm referring you to another Fixya answer so you can see what is involved in replacing the water pump. It is not for the faint of heart... it can be hard work and tricky, especially for a novice.
