Most head bolt patterns start on the inside and move in a circle to the outside . I always do in 3 stepteps starting at 10lbs per bolt and working my way up to correct specs.

SOURCE: head bolts torque settings

According to my haynes manual for G-S reg, 1989-1998 it goes as follows,
Stage 1:- Tighten all bolts by hand until bolt heads just contact cyl. head.
Stage 2:-Tighten all bolts to 40Nm or 30lb ft.
Stage 3:-Angle tighten all bolts a further 60 degrees.
Stage 4:-Angle tighten all bolts again a further 60 degrees.
Stage 5:- M12 x 140mm bolts ONLY angle tighten a further 20 degrees.
Hope this helps everyone, sorry it seems longwinded but that is how it's written in the manual.

Where can I find a diagram for head bolt for 05 Focus

If all else fails, start at the center and use criss-cross pattern working from center out. Be sure if these are one time use bolts to replace them, and find correct torque specs from shop manual or dealer.

Head torque and pattern

The S-10 had two (2) different head bolts, a long bolt and a short one . The torque on the long one is 46ft./lbs. and an additional 90 degrees . The short one is 43ft./lbs. and an additional 90 degrees .

Looking at the head from the front of the vehicle, follow this torque sequence :
Start with the center bolt on the passengers side (left side of the head), followed by the center bolt on the drivers side (right side of the head) . Then torque the bolt behind the center bolt on the passengr side . Next torque the bolt in front of the center bolt on the drivers side . Then torque the bolt behind the center bolt on the drivers side . Next torque the bolt in front of the center bolt on the passeger side . The torque the last bolt on the drivers side, followed by the front bolt on the passenger side, followed by the last bolt on the passenger side, and lastly, the front bolt on the drivers side .

Can't find the torque head bolt pattern for a 1996 gmc sierra 5.7 vortex

The "pattern" for ANY cylinder head is pretty much the same...start with the bolts in the center of the head and work your way out to both ends.
Torquing the cylinder head on your 5.7L Vortec engine to manufacturer specifications requires the use of a "torque angle" gauge, as well as a traditional torque meter.

The torque specifications are as follows:

> Step 1: All bolts: 22 Ft Lbs (30 Nm.)
> Step 2: Short bolts: Additional 55 degrees; Medium bolts: Additional 65 degrees; Long bolts: Additional 75 degrees

Hi, I neeed to know what the torque pattern is for

If your installing a new head gasget, the torque spects and pattern will come with it. If not and you are installing a new head gasget you have to use new head bolts, the short bolts witch go in next to exhaust manafold are 43 ft. lbs. and the longer ones in the center of the head are 46 ft. lbs. start with the one in the middle by exhaust and next one in center of head next to it and do the rest in a circle pattern, after you got them all torque than you have to turn each one 1/4 turn, thats why you have to use new bolts that 1/4 turn stretches the bolts. If you don't understand this go to auto zones web sight thats where i found it. I just did one 2 weeks ago.
