Drivers side sun visor, 2006 Toyota rav 4 will not stay up

My 2007 camry's sun visor (driver side) was broken and it was fixed by toyota dealer saying there is a recall. check with your nearest toyota dealer.

My driver side sun visor was broke too wouldn't stay up, You can buy new from dealer, or at a junk yard, all you do is pull visor down and unplug connection, plug new one in.

are you talking about on the clip that sticks into the hole. is there a gap where the clip goes in? that word mean it is not locked in the hole and your visor would sag

Mechanism is damaged go to a junk yard and all Rav 4 have the same Visor buy it cheap install your self and your on your way

replace it with an aftermarket tinted panel visor.the originals fall down for a pastime....

I have fixed this at the mexican way, but really cheap and effective, I had same issue with my rav4 2006, and the velcro magic fix it, let me tell you that u need to obtain the one from lowe's/home depot original "velcro" strip 4"x 2" industrial strenght. stick both part separately and let them cure for 24hrs, without being together, 24hrs later, close the visor, as you normally do, that is the only way it will have the contact force enuff to keep visor up. I tried before with cheaper velcro alternatives, and did not work, hope this helps

If under 60,000 miles, take it to the dealer for replacement - free of charge. Both sun visors on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata did the same thing and had them both replaced, but now out of warranty and driver's side has done it again so I'll have to pay to have it fixed. Looking for a used one online now. I guess this is just a defect in that particular model.

time to replace the visor assy's. If they have been used frequently this problem is common.

I have a 2007 Sonata and the driver's side sun visor broke. I called the dealership where I purchased the car, and was told that they only cover it for 5 years/60,000 miles. So if your's is broken, get it in there before the warranty expires. Otherwise the cost is around $80 for the visor unit.
