No the gears cant be adjusted like that but you could have a problem with the linkage going to the transmision. sounds like you need to inspect for loseand or worn parts.

Does having to shift from reverse drive and park a lot wear down a transmission faster. Like lets say nearly 30 times a day. I personally wouldnt think say so but others i know say different. I would like...

it would cause more wear and tear than a normal use car but a taxi driver friend of mine only puts it in nuetral when stopped, then back in drive or reverse when needed...he also starts engine in nuetral.

Honda wont go into nuetral

Hook up some jumper cables to the battery cables on the honda, turn the key to on position and apply brake and then try to shift it. Some cars need power to allow shifter to dissengage. Or just unhook the shifter linkage from the trans. and shift it directly at the trans. just be sure the parking brake is on and wheels choked so it does not roll when you pop it out of park.

Honda 1998 accord 4 cylinder will not shift out of park

Most likely the switch on the brake pedal, because you have to push the brake pedal first to get it out of park, Right ?
