Which one is the fuse for the inside lights? the inside lights stay on the whole time and i need to change it! plus is causing my battery to die

Your inside lights are staying on
If the fuse was blown they would be off
So forget the fuse.
Why would you replace a good fuse with
another good fuse?

It is not causing your battery to die
The problem that causes your light to
stay on is the cause of the battery drain

internet, you need help from a friend or

Car battery keeps dying

Myguess is that you have an electrical short which is causing a drain on the battery. The way to check this is to get a 12 v test light. Unhook the negative side of the battery. Hook the test light up between the negative battery post and the battery cable. If the light comes on, You have a short/drain. To find where the short is, you leave the test light hooked up. Then you start pulling fuses until the light goes out. However, your car stereo needs to be completely unhooked before you do this test because most stereos have a constant electrical source so that the clock stays accurate and the memory stays active so your programed stations don't get lost. 2001 lincoln navigator battery drain

Did you check for B+ voltage at the heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator ? When yor turn the key to run , not start , does the charge indicator light ? When the vehicle is running is that charge light lit or off ? There is a fuse that supplies B+ voltage to it . Fuse # 30 located in the central junction box , it's a 30 amp fuse ! Plus one more fuse located in the battery junction block # 11 20amp . With out B+ voltage at these connections on the alternator it will not charge .

I have a 1997 dodge stratus and something is draining my battery i was wondering if the light around the ignition should stay on all the time?

If you ruled out the battery, don't think the light is the
problem. If you have a meter, connect it to the battery
terminals and remove fuses, relays etc, under the hood
and inside the car one by one to see which component
is causing the drain. Other wise electrical problems are
troublesome and best left to the pros. I had a 1998, and
the battery gave me little warning before it died.

My battery keeps dying but its not the alternater

Being you ruled out the alternator as a cause for the battery dieing, i would start looking into the parasitic draw on your battery when the car is shut off, make sure all your courtesy lights are going off and that none of them are staying on overnight, check your glove box light and make sure thats going off and not saying on, another overlooked item would be your trunk light, make sure the light in the trunk is in fact going off as you close the trunk, if any of these lights are staying on it will drain the battery and cause it to be dead the next morning....

My battery keeps dying on my 1992 Mazda MPV. It was fine, now all of the sudden I need a jump to start it, and it will not charge while running, it wants to die while I am driving. What happened? I put in...

The alternator is what charges the battery, most likely there is a bad connection at or to the battery, or the alternator has quit working and you will need to replace the alternator.

New alternator and battery battery light stays on and car dies

Have you checked the alternator fuse? The regulator needs power from the fuse to turn on the alternator. The old alternator could have blown the fuse.

Geo metro 1993 battery dies

most likely a light is staying on somewhere. Remove the light in your glove box, as the most likely culprit and see if the battery is good.
