knew it!! husband and one of the well known auto parts store sayin no- can only find one. could you please tell me where, under the hood it is?!

  • mbambrose Jan 30, 2011

fear not helpmech guru- my sources remain confidential! i've looked under hood- i see an oddly shaped "box" attached to fire wall could that be it?

  • mbambrose Jan 30, 2011

my engine compartment doesn't look anything like this. does it matter that the buick century is a limited?

  • mbambrose Jan 30, 2011

according to the drivers door the EXACT year is 07/90. the VIN 3G4AL54N5LS640826. I know sometimes that number can help you guys a lot!

  • mbambrose Jan 30, 2011

well... my husband is no longer helping- he apparently is upset that i got further in an hour than he and his "expert friend at advance auto" did in a day (important example-i brought diagrams to the table and neither of them could). my name is mudd and i am alone now and it is dark outside. i did take the diagrams out and look. the one for the dash had fuse for tail lamps and interior lamps. i replaced both fuses-no change in my situation. i am still unable to find the one under hood. guess i will have to resume search tomorrow. thank you so much for your help!

  • mbambrose Jan 30, 2011

oh and the diagrams don't seem to match just right.

  • mbambrose Jan 31, 2011

WOW!!! I would have NEVER thought of the back seat!!! will definately check that out first daylight thank you!!

There are 2 fuse boxes. One under the dash and one in the engine compartment under the hood. Check out fuses in both.Remove the fuse out and inspect it properly.Faulty fuse will be little bit blacked out or burnt out.------ Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

No there is fuse box under the hood.Whats the exact year of your Buick century limited. Also see for fuse box under the hood on the drivers side of the car near the strut tower. On some Buick models it was on driver side under hood instead of passenger side.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

  • raj somaiya Jan 31, 2011

It says that Buick century limited has two fuse box one in instrument panel under dash and under hood. But in old buick service manual, not in newer manual. The old buick manual says in some cars the fuse box is also located under the back seat on the driver's side. Lift the back seat by pushing on the front of it and lifting. Push the front of the seat toward the back to clear the latches.---------Also check fuse box under the hood on the drivers side of the car near the strut tower.---------------Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

1995 Buick Regal where is the Tail light fuse hidden at? What is it labeled as?

That info is not in my wiring diagrams. It should be in your owners manual if you still have it.
The fuses should be in the glove box or the box in the engine compartment labeled cluster lamp or dash lamp and Tail or Park.
Keep in mind you are dealing with two different circuits so two different fuses. If both fuses are good, check for power output at the headlight switch.

The dash light are on the same circuit as the tail lights as a safety feature. You know when the tail light are out because the dash lights go out when they do. Check the fuse box. If the lights are going out and coming back on the fuse or wiring to that fuse may be loose.

Toyota Corolla 2006; Dash lights not working and tail lights not working. Checked all small fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel inside the car. I don't know which fuse engages the tail...

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

Dash light and tail lights not working

The dash and tail lights are controled by the first "click" of the headlight switch found on the turn signal arm.

If the fuses are good, then your turn signal arm has failed.

First click is running lights (dash and outside marker lights), second is headlights.

The 1st position of the 2 position switch has contacts internally that have worn and no longer complete the circuit.

Replace the turn signal arm.
