I have a violent vibration when accelerating especially up a hill or over 60 MPH. The vibration goes immediately away when I let off of the gas. My mechanic has replaced the following to no avail: L axle, L wheel bearing and front motor mount. He feels that the vibration is on the Left side of the car. I recently invested in the 100000 mile preventive maintenacnce, but now the car is hardly worth keeping. Any previous experience with this type of problem.

Rev the engine while out of gear , if vibration check units driven by fan belts. if no vibration and is front wheel drive, check joints on both drive shafts, if rear wheel drive check front and rear tail shaft u / joints, check wheel balance or out of round tyre .

SOURCE: I Think I have a front wheel bearing problem

Check wheel bering for play if there is no play , it doesn't mean that bearing is NOT bad its can still be dry and would be making that grinding sound you described Also check axle and see if boot is broken. That may be your problem also make sure that rotors are not gouged/scraped up and pads are good.Contact if you need more help and thanks for using FIX YA

SOURCE: Kia Sportage front wheel noise and vibrating

Sounds like a problem I had. Turned out to be the vacumn valve that locks the hubs when in 4wd. The car was not in 4wd but the hubs were always locked causing the wheels to vibrate and chatter especially when turning.

Vibrates when accelerating. Vibration is particularly violent between 60 and 80 mph.

You may have a bent rim or a bad tire, i would have the tires checked on a balancer and make sure they watch the tire for a hop, it may just also need balancing.

1995 Ford Escort LX Wagon 1.9 Liter. 173K Loud Vibration

Is the engine running on all four cylinders, no missfire? If so, check the engine and transmission mounts, there are four, one at the top right hand side, one at the top of transmission on the left hand side, and one on front of transmission bell housing, and one in the rear transmission bell housing, any of them that are bad can cause this vibration. Hope this helps, let me know.

Oscillating vibration around 60-70 mph in 6th gear

sounds like a cv joint to me. That is what usually occurs when one is showing wear. C.V joints usually wear out between 80,000 and 120,000 k.m.
