To check the transmission fluid level in your car you have to raise the vehicle up and take out the transmission fluid check plug in the transmission. It is locate just below and forward (Towards the front of the car) of where the right axle goes into the transmission housing. To fill it take the plug out then remove the red cap located on the upper side of the transmission housing. You will need a long funnel to add the fluid. Add fluid until it can be seen dripping out of the check plug under the car. Then replace the cap and reinstall the plug. (There is no dipstick on your car)

No dipstick . There is a 7/16 check plug just below the passenger side axle. engine must be running and the transmission warm to touch. very difficult to do without a lift because car must be level. The fill port is a red threaded cap on top of trans. good luck

My 1997 Pontiac bonnievlle keeps pumping transmissin fluid into the engine oil, how can that happen?

I know of no way the transmission can pump fluid into the crankcase. A bad radiator can allow coolant into the oil and vise versa, but only if it has an engine oil cooler in the radiator. A bad vacuum modulator on the transmission can let trans fluid into the intake manifold, but that would get burned and go out the tailpipe in the form of very white smoke.

Will any 6x9 speakers fit my 2002 pontiac grand am in the rear deck?

I recently helped to replace the rear speakers in a 2001 (or 2002?) Grand Am GT.
It depends on the type of stereo you have. Look at the wires going to the rear speakers. If there are two wires to each, I'm pretty sure that almost any 6X9 speaker will work.

My friend had a Monsoon system, and there were 4 wires at each speaker. There are only a few speakers that can be used on this system. As I recall, the ohm resistance is different from typical speakers. If you have a 4-wire system, you should do some reading at these websites to see what speakers to use:
http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/index.php
http://www.grandamgt.com/
or try http://www.crutchfield.com/

I did read at one of the above Forums that there are GM replacement speakers (better than original):
"I just ordered two new Monsoon rear speakers from www.gmpartsdirect and they were only $85 shipped. They are a new part number which have been updated with better cones to help prevent blowing, part number is 22698418 " If you go with GM Monsson speakers, also try Ebay. Good Luck.

Transmission fluid

the tube is on the right side of the engine near the back. Remove the dipstick and add fluid with a funnel. When you check the fluid level, do so with the engine running in park. Be sure to buy the appropriate fluid for your make.
