I WOULD CHECK IGNITION FUSE TO SEE IF POWER GOING TO COILS AND IGNITION MODULE. REPLACE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR.HAVE IGNITION TIMING CHECK.DISTRIBUTOR CAN SLOWLY WORK A LOOSE JUST A LITTLE TO THROW OFF IGNITION TIMING SO PLUGS WONT GET NO SPARK.
cap and rotor are brand new as well i pulled the number one plug and set it on the exhaust maniford it is getting spare the coil is also getting spark
WELL GETTING FIRE AND FUEL.THIS IS A LIST OF THINGS TO CHECK. LOOK FOR A INTAKE VACUUM LEAKS.CHECK THROTTLE BODY INJECTION UNIT GASKET MAKE SURE ITS TIGHT ON INTAKE MANIFOLD. MAKE SURE INTAKE MANIFOLD BOLTS TIGHT. CHECK ALL VACUUM HOSES.CHECK STUCK OPEN PCV VALVE AND EGR VALVE STUCK OPEN.CHECK BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM HOSE MAKE IT HAS NOT BROKE OR CAME OFF. CHECK FOR FAULTY IDLE SPEED CONTROL.I HAVE SEEN TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER STILL LOCK UP STALL THE ENGINE OUT. CHEVY GOOD ABOUT THAT IF ALL IS GOOD CHECK TO SEE IF TIMING CHAIN HAS SLACK IN IT.TURN CRANK SHAFT PULLEY BOLT UNTIL YOU GET TO NUMBER 1 FIRING POSITION. CRANKSHAFT PULLEY MARK ON THE O ON TIMING SCALE ON FRONT TIMING COVER. YOUR DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR SHOULD BE IN THE SPARK PLUG NUMBER ONE POSITION ON THE CAP.IF ROTOR WAY OFF NOT SET TO 1 FIRING POSITION. TIMING CHAIN HAS A LOT OF SLACK THROWING OFF TIMING. SEE IF ROTOR POINTING TO MORE TO FIRING POSITION 8 OR 2 INSTEAD 1 POSITION THE TIMING CHAIN HAS SLIP A NOTCH OR TWO THROWING OFF VALVE TIMING.
