Hi
your problem seems very easy :) hope this one work with your envoy. Just buy AC DELCO carburetor tune-up conditioner.

How you use it: engine running , AC off please

1. detached the big black airflow hose which is attached in the mannifold of the engine block.

2. ask your friend to step on the gas pedal and set the rpm steady in 2000 rpm only.

3. then spray vigorously in 8 seconds the inside circle opening of mannifold while your friend steady step on gas pedal with steady 2000 RPM only.

4. after you spray, let your freind continue on gas pedal with 2000 rpm for 15 more seconds.

5. attached back the airflow big black hose to the manifold and you are ready to roll with your AC on.

if this one doesnt work, please scan your envoy by scanner called TECH II. and find out.

The oil pressure quage is moving around because the engine is slowing down and speeding up. As far as the idle surging goes try this.

BMW Z3 3.0 year 2000 erratic tickover problems

You can in most cases repair this by cleaning the engine throttle valve and the idle speed control valve using a product called CRC Spray Throttle valve cleaner. Spray the cleaner into the air intake of the engine with the hose removed from the throttle body, the engine will try to stall so hold up the idle speed manually. Once you have used up about 1/2 can of the cleaner stall the engine out while spraying and turn the key off, disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnect and drive the car for a about 25 miles of varied driving modes. If this doesn't cure the problem you may need the fuel injectors professionally cleaned by the dealer service dept.

My 2004 elantra speeds up and slows down when driving. it does do it as hard when you go over 65 mph.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

This can be caused by a faulty MAF (mass air flow) sensor or TPS (throttle position sensor). If one of this sensor is faulty the engine tends to speed up, slow down or have an erratic idle. Have it checked and replace if necessary.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

My 1990 Celica won't stay at a steady idle. It will fluctuate between 1100 and 1800 RPMs every second unless I have it in a gear driving or rev the engine past 2000 RPMs.This started after getting it back...

Here are the most common causes of idle surge, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

Runs erratically

The idle air valve (located below the throttle body) provides the control for constant idle speed. In order to set the correct air valve opening to achieve constant idle speed, the fuel injection control unit uses information from the air mass meter, throttle valve switch and the ignition control unit (RPM signal) to regulate the output current to the idle air valve. This means that the idle valve is not affected by air leaks or a jammed throttle valve.

motor mounts need replacement and sounds like your cars comp. is about to take a hit and go down
the air flow control unit sounds like it also has has a clog in it and needs to be serviced this is a big one when you get to driving at higher speeds the fan turns off and the air outside controls cooling air/fuel mixture rate sometimes too much air intake can make the vehicle act eratic
