Before you try and get the nut off,go and get a spare replacement wheel stud.Don't use a ratchet because they are not strong enough. If you use an impact gun, tighten it first and then ondo it.Other than that, use an impact gun socket,a long handled breaker bar to suit the socket and get into it.Good luck

Can't loosen lug nuts, broke the Extention & ratchet , tried liquid wrench, impact wrench, then a propane torch to heat lug nuts & a new Extention & cheater bar, still won't budge. Any ideas ?

You're almost at the point of just breaking the studs off. If that happens to me on a bolt, I soak it in PB Blaster, then hit it with torch, then spray it with Freeze Spray right after. Then I use a 1/2" drive ratchet, and a 4' piece of metal pipe. Worst case scenerio is you break it off and need to punch in a new stud. Another reason to use anti-seize on threads. Good luck!

Hard to remove tire lug nuts made easy

Did you ever have to remove a tire on your car or someone elses and the wheel lugs were too tight?
Ok I have a "proven simple solution".
Keep available a deep socket 1/2" drive impact wrench quality for both 3/4" lug nuts and 13/16" lug nuts and a small 2-4 lb. hammer.
Put the socket on the tight lug, strike it with the hammer dead on, remove it with your lug wrench, if that doesnt work, apply WD 40, use a 1/2 breaker bar and slide a 2 foot pipe over the handle of the breaker bar, lean your body weight on the breaker bar/pipe and walla it will come off.

Torque specs axle nut

Most people don't own a torque wrench that goes past 150 lbs
& you can't push it that far

So if the nut was say 180 or 206 you have to stop at 140 & then
use a 3 foot 3/4 drive bar or ratchet & go another 1/8 turn.

Google the question,should be there

Center axle nut will not come off of my 1993 accord

I've had to use a monkey wrench on a socket, with a large, three foot long piece of steel pipe as a breaker bar, to remove some of those stuck Accord axle nuts.

The pinion nut will not come off this is the front axle is it left hand threaded

I've never seen a left hand thread on a pinion. They are normally very tight. We use a half inch air impact wrench to take them off. An alternative would be to hold the yoke with a large pipe wrench and turn the nut with a socket on a long breaker bar. You can even use a pipe as an extension to the breaker bar

I'm having trouble breaking the axle bolt loose, what should I do in order to replace my drive axle.

Use a breaker bar or a pipe to slide over the wrench or ratchet. This will give you more leverage and break it loose. I nwould recommend a 1/2 drive ratchet if using a socket. Just be sure the socket or wrench is securely on the nut before lossening, otherwise it will slip.
