2000 GMC Jimmy-when weather is really cold will not start, meaning will not turn over. Does not make any grinding sound, any clicking sound, battery replaced just a few months ago. After trying to start maybe will start in 20-30 minutes. When weather is above 50 degrees, turns over like a dime. Any ideas?

Have you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to the test port on the rear of the intake, drivers side. You can get a fuel pressure tester for about 40 dollars at a part store. It is a real good tool to have in your toolbox. If your Jimmy can't build 55 psi, it won't start.

There is no plugin. It is a gas engine. Check your antifreeze.

I cant find the plugin for my Jimmy

only diesels have plugs and its to keep the glow plugs warm for easy starting in cold weather gas engines do not just make sure you keep propeer fuel levels and a 50 50 mix on the coolant and you should be fine

Will turn over but not start in cold weather

could just be the oil if you are in a really cold environment (near or below 0), make sure to use 5w-30 versus 10w-30 which is suited for warmer climates..
