My 93 Geo Storm (1.6L, auto) started lighting up the 'battery' and 'brake' lights on the dashboard. When that happens - 1) the dashboard lights get brighter, 2) the a/c compressor seems to cut off, 3) the fan motor (a/c,heat) shuts off. We just replaced the alternator and the 1st 10 miles were fine, then the a/c compressor stopped, and both lights came on again (battery & brake). It seems something is making the alternator overcharge. Now, both the radiator fans (2) and the heater, a/c fan do not work. No blown fuses. very odd. I am trying to find a wiring diagram to check the relays, etc. Any ideas?
Engine was running too hot, thermostat s/b 180, it was 195, antifreeze solution had too much water, this caused the radiator thermal switch to trip. I think the alternator was either bad, or the excessive heat made it draw too much. Two separate problems.

Seems as though I'm having the very same problem on my 91 Geo Storm (1.6L, manual). At first the battery and brake lights on the instrument cluster started flickering then eventually stayed on. Now I have no a/c or heater functions not even the blower motor. Alternater/battery were recently replaced, I also had them both removed and tested good. I do not have any blown fuses. What do I check next??
