Manual windows on 1998 Pontiac grand am keep coming off track

I've noticed the grease in the manual and electric regulators over time will dry out causing excessive wear in the "scissor" joint in these cars throwing window out of track. (I think gradual excessive force required accelerates wear) With window partially up check for excessive lateral play in the very center pivot point. Also check for loose mounting rivets and replace. If not too worn and loose rivets were found you may be able to clean and liberally grease assembly...otherwise replace the regulator.

Drivers power window only goes up a little

Here's a link to a service manual for your car: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/126420546-pontiac-grand-prix-1997-2003-service-repair-manual. I just went throughthis problem with my car. It was the master switch. However, my service manual had a troubleshooting procedure that might also be found in the Pontiac Service Manual. Good luck!

I can't not find muffler mounts for a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix, GTP. Anyone have any ideas?

check with a national chain store. these usually have an exhaust's small parts. for the physical location of them, have a peek in any repair manual. they should be illustrated.

Need to know where to download a free 1998 pontiac grandam repair manual

Not for free online but free at the public library. Just pay a nickle per copy. That's the way you roll when times are tough.

Fuse box diagram 2001 Pontiac grand prix

If you are looking for a wiring diagram for the fuse box then there are a couple of sources. Pickup a hayes or chilton repair manual from a local parts store or go online to ALLDATA. com. You will have to pay for the info online, but you can print it off. You can search for the wiring info online for free but I have had little success that way. If you are looking for fuse locations within the fuse box then try the owners manual in the glove box or buy a manual.
