[email protected] have a 2004 cavalier with the 2.2 eng the check eng light stay on an it alos blinks..the car has a miss in it while idiling or accelerating but at a stedy speed it runs fine an has good power..i have replace the plugs an boots alos the coil pack an ignition module...when put on the computer it reads misfire on #2 cylinder....

run the fault codes to ensure that the EGR valve is faulty. Engine lights to not always come on unless there is something drastic going on with the engine /gearbox so that you can stop the car before damage is done.

Find your nearest autozone or auto parts store most will put there scanner on your car for free .they will retreve the code and will than have an idea what part or parts your car needs if this was helpful please leave me good feedback.

could be an injector, but do a compression test first

does it run 2 to 3 seconds? does the scurity light blinks? if yes leave the switch on after running 2-3 second wait till security light stops blinking then start if light still blinks you have wiring problem. if light just stay on you have spark and fuel check injactor pulse.always remember if you have good spark ,good fuel pressure and injector pulse car should start

check the relay and blown out bulbs will cause the lights to blink fast or some to stay on. one bad bulb will cause the problems.

Look for which one of your gauges that are not working. You may need to take it to the dealer to find out exactly why. Could be a bad sensor somewhere.

Are you using a gel based battery?
Sounds like an overload on the charging system screwing the whole electronics of the car.
If not - get it diagnosed at a dealership.

It is the wheel speed sensor jumper harness more than likely on the driver side. They replaced the orginal with a newer better one but never issued a recall.

Take your vehicle in immediately. If this many lights are coming on, it could be a problem with the computer. Worse yet, it could mean:
1) your ABS isn't working
2) you could have serious engine problems
3) You could loose your braking

The brake light comes on for two reasons - the e-brake is on, or there is a problem with the braking system. If your e-brake is off, worry.

Drive slowly to a repair shop you trust and get diagnostics run on it. Go from there.
