I have a 2004 saturn vue whose remote clicker will not work correctly. The first clicker quit working a couple years ago and the second just quit yesterday. The clicker will work in the lock mode but will not unlock the car. I replaced the batteries and attempted the resync procedure outlined in the owners manual.

Turn off the car and remove the negative battery cable off. let sit a few minutes then reconnect the cable. try it several times. The removal of the battery causes the computer to deprogram itself. what you will be doing is re-programming the computer module.

The easy part is you just need the latch for the liftgate. The hard part is getting to it and opening the liftgate to replace the latch. You should be able to pull the liftgate trim off most of the way with the gate closed and try to manually actuate the latch to open the gate. You may have to go so far as breaking the latch from the inside to open the gate and then replace your latch.

You have to take it to a garage or dealership. Transmission has no dipstick. It has a special plug that bolts on where dipstick should be located.

try locking and unlocking the car with the key 3 times slowly ,other than that i have no idea ?? another trick is to disconnect battery and join the cables together for a few minutes to discharge any capacitors that may be holding a charge in the computer..Only other thing i can think of is the main dealers who have the right connectors and software to re set it all .sorry i havent been of any help
