Abnormal knocking sound at the rear left and right suspension when hitting potholes and while passing humps. Both rear shock absorbers are new including shock mounting. Ford Manila can not identify the source of the noise and they declared that rear suspension systems are all okay.

Could be a number of things, but one that is not thought of generally is the exhaust pipe. After checking the lug nuts, the spindle nut, and the shock absorber bolts to be sure they're tight, grab the exhaust pipe (when it's cool) and shake it around and see if it hits anything. I've had to bend the hangers on exhaust pipe and muffler to realign the exhaust pipe so it doesn't hit the suspension. The clearances are fairly tight right there by the wheel.
Depending on the suspension design the lower ball joints could be rattling but it is less likely on a system that has upper ball joints and if so they tend to produce an altogether heavier knock rather than a rattle.
Worn track rod ends and/or steering racks can cause a rattle but the most common cause is the stabiliser connecting rod - the rod or bar connecting the antiroll bar or stabiliser bar to the suspension arm or strut which traditionally is an arrangement of rubber bushes but more recently using one or two small ball joints.
Shock absorbers too can rattle - a lot!
They break sometimes and sometimes a mounting bolt becomes a little loose and sometimes the internal valves wear and cause horrible rattles for which there is no visible cause...
NO PUN INTENDED. If u are asking about "if its a shock absorber" I professionally advise u not to tackle the repair. It may not even be a shock we're referring to.
CHECK WHETHER YOU HAVE A BROKEN SHOCK ABSORBER OR ANY SUSPENSION BUSH. AS YOU HAVE A SQUEAK AT THE BACK LEFT SIDE GO TO THE SHOCKER AT THAT SIDE AND DO THE INSPECTION FIRST,
More likely cause are control arm bushings or tie rod ends, or ball joints. Drag link bushings can also be at issue. If you are handy, get a very large pair of channel lock pliers and locate every suspension mounting point you can find that has a dust boot and connects to a suspension part. These are usually ball shaped things with a stud that passes through another part and is secured with a large nut and cotter pin. If you carefully clamp the part with the pliers--such as tie rod ends--so as not to damage the dust boot, you may find it has some free play. If so, that may be the culprit. Any free play in any of your suspension parts could be the problem. You mentioned shocks...the top of the shock absorber strut has bushings which sometimes do wear out, but based on your description, it sounds like a worn suspension bushing or pivot point.
its known in Australia that sometimes its the valving in the shocker causing it to knock, get shock absorbers checked,it should be under new car warranty still unless youve exceeded the mileage, but they are known to have the odd faulty shock absorber
i have owned two 1994 grand prix's and both developed the same problem you are refering to. i have to agree with the last solution, if the rear is sitting lower, it's time to look at your rear struts. BUT... the GM used a fibreglass monoleaf transverse spring in the rear and the fibre glass spring is suppose to sit on a nylon cushion on both knucles. on both of my vehicles i had the nylon cushion fall or get knocked out. the parts cost about $20.00cdn and can easily be installed without removong the spring. In both cases it solved the sound of metal on metal rubing sound. I also changed the rear struts soon after i replaced the cushions because i noticed they were worn.
