Sounds like you may have fried the tcm I would go to car-parts.com and get a good used one. You could check and see if there is any fuses that you blew out that control the tcm if you have a manual for the car you can look at a wiring diagram and find out what fuses are associated with the tcm if not check them all.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR CLEANER. then take the mass air flow sensor off and spay it down, wait for it to dry put it back in and connect the negative terminal on battery and start the car. You should notice a difference but if you don't and low on money but brake cleaner and find out which shift solenoid, take it out spay it down and plug it back in. Remember that's just a temporary fix, 2 weeks, 3 weeks max before the problem comes back. But at least you'll know what part will need to be replaced

Every time I start my 06 equinox the 10 amp backup fuse blows. When I try to restart the car its no crank no start. When I replace fuse it starts fine again. Why is 10amp backup fuse blowing?

A short circuit in the wiring . Do you you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ?
10 amp backup fuse ?????? back up lights ? Video's on youtube showing how to find an fix a short . Park neutral safety switch
The transaxle control module (TCM) primarily controls shift points and lockup engagement.
The transaxle is controlled by an electronic shift system. The TCM processes input signals. From the information received, the TCM controls the transaxle hydraulic system.
The electronic shift system consists of the following components:
• TCM
• Shift Solenoid (SS1 and SS2)
• Pressure Control Solenoid (PSC)
• Lockup Solenoid
• Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor
• Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor
• Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor
• Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch

Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes
When the TCM detects an invalid combination of TR switch signals, then DTC P0705 sets. DTC P0705 is a type A DTC.

PNP Switch

The transmission range (TR) switch is part of the park/neutral position and back-up lamp switch assembly and is mounted on the transmission manual shaft. The TR switch is a multi-signal switch. The transmission control module (TCM) supplies voltage to the TR switch. Each gear selector lever position grounds one or more of the signal circuits in a unique pattern. In order to determine the gear range selected by the driver, the TCM compares the voltage combination on the signal circuits to a TR switch combination table stored in memory. Refer to Transmission Range Switch Logic .

2004 Mazda 6,,,,4cyl,battery sounds like it's boiling, very hot,,,automatic transmission won't shift,,it stays in 3rd,even blew the main fuse ,the one that you need to start car,

If the battery is very hot and the electrolyte is "boiling", then there is a serious issue with the voltage regulator. You are seriously overcharging the battery and this can lead to a battery explosion. Stop using the vehicle immediately and have the charging system check out for malfunctions. It is not safe to operate the vehicle in this condition and the overcharging can cause additional damage to the vehicle electronics.

Lost all lights suddenly while driving on a trail.

the car has like 100 lights (you lost the all>?) fix head lamps first.!!!!
which ones, the head lamps, and parking lamps, highs and lows?
starts and idles, ok.
but will not go in to gear. (must be A./T tranny, as all gear boxes have gears and that dont tell me what trans you have nor engine options)

my guess, HL died. so you blew a fuse. or have corroded battery cables. or have corroded underhood fuse box. or other connections
from engine bay to cab fuse box.
my guess, is to put a voltmeter in the dash and wire it to ignition
next time you will see why it fails, you lost DC power.

some 88s had the ELECTRONIC shifted transmission.
most have just a simple pure mechically run A/T
ive no idea at all what trans you run, (find out,by looking)
if its not electronically shifted By TCM puter then the trans failure
is unrelated, but if it is a TCM tranny , then you lost DC power
to the TCM TOO.
easy huH?

Replaced mega fuse now wont start

Putting reverse polarity to a battery will do more damage then blowing a fuse. Chances are you could have taken out the ECM and possibly the TCM

Reversed polarity on jump start. now wont go into gear or hold charge

OLder cars YEs you can jump it without a battery. But in newer cars that use computers and advanced Eltronic ignition/timing/ful injection you have to have power to the cars computer. without a good battery the car will not run.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Engine starts but cannot shift out of park

Your transmission shifter is controlled by the "shift interlock system". You blew the fuse that controls it. I'm guessing that your radio also does not work?

The fuse you need to replace is for the cigarette lighter - it's in the driver side kickpanel. It controls the lighter, the radio, and your shift interlock system.

The "Stop" fuse could also create the same problem, because your car must register the brakes as being depressed before it will let you shift out of park. Check both those fuses first. One of them is likely your issue.

Good luck.
