I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 and I know the ABS light on the dashboard is burnt out or not working because I pull the fuse for ABS and there is no light on the dash. Is there a way to replace it? I have access to a Silverado I can use for parts so i just need to know how to do it.

Bad sensor in one wheel, they are part of the wheel bearing. Could also be a bad abs computer module, either way, not cheap.

It's on the driver side frame. It's not hard to install one. Just have to have a special tool to get the line off the filter.

It is mounted on the side of the tranny. It also says a special to remove it.

change the fluid and filter if u havent already if that dont fix problem have trans. checked out u didnt say how many miles are on the vehicle?
