How to replacefront leaf springs on toyota hilux dualcab4 x4

undo the 2 small retainer studs from the pin-plate. Place a nut on the thread of the pin and do up partway Ensure that the vehicle is placed on stands with the wheels just touching the ground so as to relieve all tension in the springs. Hammer the nut on the pin . It will also help if you use a pair of stilsons on the plate twisting while hammering. The plate will move out revealing a large hole on one side . When the pin moves freely remove the nut and hammer on the plate. As to the front swing shackle remove both nuts and with a bar between the spring and the hanger hammer the plate and pins out. undo the spring u- bolts and remove the spring Note-1--- do one side at a time as it retains the location of the front axle for spring replacement. Note--2---Hilux springs are bad for sagging so have an extra leaf fitted under main leaf Note--3-- do not use eurothane bushes as they will crack the chassis in adverse conditions.

There is alot of play in stearing wheel before the tires will turn

Hi Ems, Seems you're riding a death trap. Have a workshop check the tie rod ends (all four), the steering rod and link assembly (drag linkages), steering idler and steering box. While they're checking also ask them to inspect the ball joints and all suspension bushes. If the vehicle is fitted with a solid beam front axle and semi elliptical spring suspension (Leaf springs) get the kingpins inspected for wear. Sounds to me as if the work may be extensive. Regards John

2001 VW Beetle. The driver's front seat adjuster

I'm assuming you have manual adjustment seats. There is a spring underneath the seat that locks the end of the lever into corresponding notches in the seat frame rail. That spring has either fallen off or broken.

How to change the bulb on the front head light on my 2002 jaguar x-type

Dip beam (outer) headlight
Open the bonnet.
Slide open the two spring clips (A) and remove the cover (B).
Press the spring clip inwards and push towards the bulb
to release the bulb and then remove the bulb from the light
unit. Pull the connector from the bulb.
Fit a new bulb to the connector, type H1 for dipped beam.
Fit the bulb to the light unit, the bulb will only correctly fit in
one position. Engage the spring clips to retain the bulb and then
fit the cover and retain using the two spring clips.
Close the bonnet.
Note: High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon light units,
type D2S 35W, are not renewable, contact your Dealer if the headligh fails to operate

Tire size & Suspension confusion:

31x10.50r15s will rub the front fender while turning if you dont install either a suspension or body lift. Adding a leaf spring to the rear will not neccessarily raise the vehicle you must add a block to the spring seat to raise the height. However you can use 30x9.50r15 without any modification. Hope that answers your question.

This is common. You can tap it back into place with a 5 pound sledge hammer.
