1 Answer

This is my first issue since ive had my vehicle 2000 Chrysler 300m. Near the front on the passenager side i saw a small puddle and i put it on my finger and it smelled like fluid so I didnt think anything about it and so I drove it for 6miles nd i smelled sumthin again and it started smoking and look and saw my car was in the red. I pulled over and looked in the ressivoir and it was empty...so i put in antifreeze and water in the ressovior and went home and i finally made it home 4 hrs later. I had to stop periodically. I looked in the ressovoir this morning and its empty. What is leaking? Can you please help ASAP!!

You have a serious failure in the cooling system. Somebody needs to actually LOOK at it to tell you where this is and how drastic the problem is. I would not dally, get to a shop ASAP.

Can be located on the output shaft of the transmission. Look for 2 or 3 wire harness leading to a black object near the rear of the transmission closest to the drive shaft.

They may not match.
You may have clipped some wires or there might not be enough power to run them all.
This is best left to an audio installer.

My 2000 chrysler 300m smeells of gas all the time but runs great when i checked under the hood no visual leaks but can smell it realy strong on the passenger side of rear of motor

Have the purge system tested, and the regulator diaphragm looked at. also the lines, especially the quick disconnect lines up near the engine. You smell gas, but as the engine heats up, the gasoline evaporates and you don't see where it is coming from. This is dangerous in any case, not to mention smelly. The regulator is located in back of the engine (on top) near the throttle body. (just underneath it).
Start the car and let it run for a couple of minutes. Stop the car, and using a flashlight and a good retractable mechanic's mirror, take a look for wetness.
if the regulator (a small, flat inch and a half disk attached to the fuel line) is wet. have it replaced right away. The purge system canister can usually be tested by a good mechanic with the right equipment. You and I usually cannot do this ourselves.

How do you know which cylinder is numder 4 on a 2000 chrysler 300m

Chrysler numbers like GM. #1 is front right as you look at it from the front the engine. Number 4 would be the middle left bank as you look from the front of the engine (called the right bank in the literature).

How to change battery on chrysler 300m 2000

Your battery is located in the fender wall on the passenger side of the vehicle in front of the tire. You don't have to remove the tire but it will give you more room to work if you do.If you decide to remove the tire after tire is removed, remove the battery splash shield(the plastic with vent holes in it inside the fender towards the front).Slide the battery toward the rear of the vehicle and disconnect the cables from the battery.Installation is the reverse of removal.Make sure you connect the Negative cable last.
