How do I get nav and radio screen to work it says theft lock

If your 2005 Cadillac STS is displaying "TheftLock" on the navigation and radio screen after replacing the battery, it means that the anti-theft system has been activated. Here are the steps you can take to unlock the system:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Don't start the car, just turn the key to "On" position.
2. Wait for the "TheftLock" message to disappear from the navigation and radio screen. This may take up to 10 minutes.
3. Press and hold the "1" and "4" buttons on the radio simultaneously for several seconds until "000" appears on the screen.
4. Use the "TUNE" knob to enter the code that was provided with the vehicle's owner's manual. If you don't have the code, you will need to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to retrieve it for you.
5. Once you entered the correct code, press the "AM/FM" button to unlock the radio and navigation system.

If all doesn't work, it's time to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to help you sort it out.

My sister has a Holden Captiva lx series ii 2010 model & the sat Nav audio won't turn off it is constantly on when driving - any ideas would be great thanks

Hi Lisa Apart from taking it to a dealer. I would disconnect the battery for 15 minutes then reconnect the battery and try again. Like our computers some times things freeze and need to be powered down for things to reset. The only issue the radio will have is, it will require a security code to reset the radio after. Hopefully you should have that somewhere, if you don't have the code your local dealer should be able to help. With the captiva there are only about 12 codes and I'm sure the dealer has them listed somewhere. Good luck.

Have a 2003 navigator, my youch screen on my radio/ navigation etc went dark, the screen completely still work's but cant see anything...any suggestions?

Check the display settings, try resetting your nav to factory settings if that didn't help, you have to visit the dealer due to programing issue or software issue.
good luck

Replaced battery and the radio/nav system was asking for a code. I lost the manual a long time ago. I tried a couple of codes like 0000, 1111, and then the radio just said ''wait.''

Unless you can remember the security code that was originally entered, you will have to take it to the dealer and have them reset it for you. The dealer will have a generic unlock code for your vehicle.
Good luck.

MBZ E320 CDI (2003), The CD, Radio and navigation system not working. The car battery became flat after having my car parked for 35 days, so I jump started the car and it started fine. But the CD, radio...

Your radio/nav system needs a code. Go the your dealer's parts department , give them the VIN of your car( should be free $0). Punch in the code through the car radio and your radio/nav system should work right away.
