What kind of antifreeze does my 2001 Saturn L series take?

If orange in color it will be Dexcool
green is the old style coolant

The best way to tell is to look. first at the cap then at the color. if it says extend live coolant only its most likely pink. if it just says engine cooland only then most likely green. if its pink u must use pink if its green then u must use green although now there is some green antifreeze that says mix with any kind or color of antifreeze. but i would still just get the pink if thats what u need if your antifreeze is brown then its probably mixed and u need to flush the system. after a flush it does not matter what kind u use but make sure u always use the same kind. if u get premix then just pour it in. if u get straight... it will have a chart on the back. mix half and half it best. 60% antifreeze and 40% water will have better freeze protection and 40% antifreeze and 60% water will transfer heat better in the sumer but 50/50 is usualy the best. hope this helps
